Before pickup (official notes)

  • Installed items (AC, wall TV, water purifier, built-ins) must be removed first.
  • If a ladder truck is needed, move the item outside first.
  • Someone must be home for indoor pickup.
  • Remove food, trash and boxes from inside.
  • Items can’t be returned after pickup.
  • If left outside, attach a note: “1599-0903, pickup on [date]”.

Step 3. Furniture: local large-waste disposal

  • Furniture isn’t covered by free appliance pickup.
  • Report large household waste to your city/district and pay the fee. Per Gov24’s district service page (e.g., Gwanak-gu), you enter items and location, pay, then write the disposal number or attach the certificate.
  • Fees and methods differ by district — check your own district’s guide.
